Today, August 5, our MGH colleges launched our campaign to get the government to stop ignoring our work and, above all, to finally understand that each and every one of us is essential to the proper functioning of our hospitals and CHSLDs.
The government is sowing discord and discouragement by offering bonuses to a small minority and ignoring everyone’s wage demands. Our salaries have not even kept up with inflation for over 20 years.
Enough is enough!
On August 6, at lunchtime, everyone out in front of the Glen on Decarie to demand a minimum of respect for those who make our health care system work.
We cannot allow the government to ignore us in the same way that previous governments did when we are on the front lines against COVID and when more than ever the public is able to understand the importance of our work. Now is the time to mobilize for our demands.
Same premiums for all job titles !
A wage increase of $3 per hour in 2020,
and for 2021 and 2022
a 3% increase or $1 per hour,
whichever is more advantageous for each job title.
Throughout August and early September our demonstrations will continue. In turn, all our establishments will be called upon to mobilize. See below for the dates and locations of the various events.
